Halloween

The boys went to a number of different Harvest Festivals and Trunk or Treats but Joshua's favorite one was the one held close to his pre-school. They had a bouncy house inside, games, pizza, and outside they had a hay ride and Trunk or Treat.

 Every year in Richlands they hold an event called Farmer's Day.

Jacob did a good job sitting still but only because he was trying to eat the hay.

To Cage or Not to Cage?

So I bought this 'cage' to take to the beach but it ended up in my house and I love it! I can't block off my kitchen with a baby gate so this works to keep Jacob in one place when I am busy. I have all of his toys inside and he can't crawl all over the house.

Because the baby's toys are kind of off limits for Joshua it is a treat for him to be able to play with Jacob and his toys. Take a look at these pictures, they look happy to me.



Teeth...Watch Out!

Jacob got his first tooth last week and now he is getting the one beside of it. We have to watch out when we are just sitting around or holding him, sometimes he will just lean over and bite. Can't be too mad because he doesn't know but it hurts!

On the Move!

So Jacob's been working on learning to crawl for about three weeks and now he can get around pretty good.

Waiting to be a Super Hero!

The boys and I went to the library's summer reading kick off party and they had a face painting booth set up. Joshua said "I want to be like a super hero." Ok, that didn't sound like a bad idea so we got in line...and waited...

and waited... for an hour for Joshua's turn. Now he has never had this done before so I explained to him that the lady was going to make him sit still and would be touching his face with a sponge to put the paint on. It was finally his turn and he had decided to be Batman... 

all was ok til we had to get all that black paint off at home that night. He cried because his mask was gone. Probably not going to do the face painting again.

Fun Outside

Joshua and Jacob are enjoying the swing set now that Jacob has a swing just his size. Joshua likes to push Jacob; sometimes too high, but Jacob likes it.

 Jacob is liking eating baby food and loving the messiness.

 

Fun at the Mall

While visiting with friends the boys played at the indoor playground at the mall. Joshua likes to climb up and lay on top the big trophy.

Joshua also likes to sit in the car and "drive". He let Jacob join him.

Beach May 21

We recently had the church cookout at the beach. Joshua and Jacob had a great time. Joshua had fun on the playground and in the water. Jacob enjoyed all the attention at the cookout and did really well for his first time at the beach. He let me put lotion all over him, sit him in the sand, and even put his feet in the cold water. Here are some pictures of our day.

Photo shoot

Thought these were so good of the boys. Should be getting the prints in the mail soon. Joshua loves his picture taken and I guess Jacob does too. They both did very well. The shoot was actually for my sister's baby and then some of the three of them together, but Joshua and Jacob stole some of the spotlight.

Summer is almost here. Joshua and Jacob are going to be having lots of fun and everyone can keep up with what they are doing-via mom's camera. Joshua has alreay learned to swing on his swing set by himself and Jacob has learned to sit up by himself.
